No person- or entity-level identity check is on record for this company. A name match is not one.
The inclusion bar: two or more independent sourced evidence families. This profile is reachable but not in the ranked index. It is a statement about how much evidence we hold, and about nothing else.
We have not established fit. That is not a soft no and not a soft yes — it is unknown, and it is never counted as a qualified prospect.
Five evidence lanes (activity, capital, infra, hiring, ecosystem) as within-cohort percentiles, combined with evidence-breadth weights over the 60-company baseline cohort. The ± band widens with missing lanes — it measures what the score stands on. Scores publish at 2+ evidence lanes; this company's tape carries 1 (70 signals/60d), so no number is claimed.
↗ Strongest signal: funding_magnitude (30% of the score).
↓ Scored on 1 of 4 components — funding_recency, adoption, developer had no computable metric.

But Intel had virtually all of the CPU share. And when you have a partner who has virtually all the share, they're not often thinking about how to drive price performance. They're trying to think about other features that allow them to get more share and drive more revenue.
Today in HVM, we're doing 25 micrometer pitch in Fulveros. Here we're doing sub 10, but there's already been literature out there.
I see a long runway there.
We definitely have the capability to do both.
Part of the process of evolving these technologies, especially something more complex like an architecture, not just a basic chemistry or material, but the full architecture like CFET, is that we have to make short loop vehicles that can give us faster turnaround.
So yes, we do have the ability to not only deposit films that are very small and thin to the atomic scale, but also print very small features. We have EUV technology that can, or e-beam technology that can allow us to print very small features, similar to what we will eventually make in production.
But the act of stacking does not mean that they're not interconnected. What used to be connections on the top or even on the bottom, as you've seen from our press release, now has to go vertically in between the transistors. And that's a new challenge because the aspect ratio of creating trenches and filling those trenches becomes more and more difficult.
That evaluation of CFET is currently underway, not just by us, by our competition. Labs externally are looking at it. It is the ultimate in stackability.
At the time we made a decision for cobalt, it was the forerunner. The results were stronger at the time. But as we work with our ecosystem externally, the vendor ecosystem that provides these materials and the tools that we integrate them with, we find solutions down the road that may bring copper back in line as being, you know, the stronger of the two. And that's exactly what happens. Every technology that we go through, we will evaluate multiple options. And as we get closer to our time horiz
For most of its history, Intel's fabs made only Intel's chips. That could be part of what allow TSMC to gain an edge.
Now at 14, we've left it as an option, and it's something that we'll have a discussion with the customer on because there's some value proposition of it. There's some complexity that it adds.
It's an option in the PDK today, and we're handling it as a customer-by-customer discussion that we have as to whether or not they want to go down that path or not.
There's definitely a learning curve to how you become a foundry, and that's something that our competitors have gone through as well. PDK is a good example of that. For decades, we've been an IDM, and we've gone to our product teams, and we've shown them our transistor data, and we share that data back and forth, and we haven't had a formal PDK-type process. So that's a new process that we've had to go implement on 18A, and 18A started out not having a PDK. And so there's definitely a lot of fee
because of the architecture of our technology versus TSMCs, we make different conclusions off of the same tool set. We use backside power. That means that you actually alleviate some of the pitch requirements you have on the front side, and that allows you to print that directly with high NA. TSMC has to run very tighter pitches because they don't have backside power, and they can't do that with high NA, so they have to use double patterning EUV. So for them, it's not very helpful. For us, it is
FinFET was demonstrated in a lab in 1989 and reached volume production at Intel in 2011.
I'll be a large customer of theirs, and they're going to expose us to a much, much larger market opportunity.
we're so happy to partner with Intel on that. It takes the Intel ecosystem. You know, most of the world's enterprise still runs on Intel. It takes the Intel ecosystem, takes the NVIDIA AI ecosystem, accelerated computing, and we fused it together. Right. And we did that with ARM. Right? And there are several others we're going to be doing it with. And that opens up opportunities for both of us. It's a win for both of us. Great, great win.
including Intel, which you just invested in
today, our estimate is that we're going to have $100 billion of AI revenue in 2026, excluding Meta and excluding, you know, the GPUs running recommender engines.
the industry underneath us is growing. Energy is growing. Power, shell, land. This is like renaissance for the energy industry.
the fastest growing revenue company in history. Right. And they're growing exponentially.
the world's GDP growth is going to accelerate because now we are giving the world billions of coworkers that will do work for us.
the number of chips we're building is better. The number is growing. The pace at which we're doing it is right. And so, we're growing faster as a company.
AI itself is a fast growing industry. Because of AI needs a factory behind it. Right. An infrastructure behind it. There's this industry is growing. My industry is growing.
the TAM, you know, is a 4 to 5x increase over where it is today.
NVIDIA's revenue is almost correlated to power. Yes. Isn't that right?
Our partnership with Intel is recognizing that general purpose computing needs to be fused with accelerated computing to create opportunities for them.
if you build a platform that has two sharp of elbows then what you get is a community wanting to form outside of that and you create the own sense of competition
we know now it's Apple it's Google it's Facebook it's becoming Twitter just the enormous power they have and when they make a change like this there's a lot of collateral damage
intel is targeting security in the cloud with mcafee as of the recent acquisition of the of the of the company mcafee
it feels like cloud washing to me i mean perhaps just a big announcement about how to authenticate your phone or users across the cloud i know there was something about being able to embed private keys into chips before so that you could sell signed certificates from your computer in a way that couldn't be hacked by by by potential security threats in your operating system not sure how that exactly maps into into cloud that might be more of a positioning thing than a real technology standpoint
i didn't really get the strategy here to be honest with you if you look at the future of cloud computing where we're going we're going to very complex distributed systems as a model so therefore identity management and centralized identity identity repositories and all these very sophisticated almost enterprise security models become the way in which you manage those environments and it looks like intel's kind of falling back on their own tricks everything in their world needs to exist on a chip
Intel at four times future earnings who who knows I mean it's it's insane
Intel's trading at eight times earnings for the first time in their history they should be trading at 20 times earnings
Intel is at eight times future earnings these are these are ridiculously cheap how much cheaper can they get they're all going to trip off so that's going to get us to Dow 20K
Build a better one and Intel will buy you.
You're competing with Intel. You're competing with a lot of people who are trying to do full classroom management system.
what I love about what they're doing is they're introducing me to every business unit and every customer that they can
to the extent that Intel has talked about basis they've really said two things one is you know we wanted the leader in this space who had insights about what it takes to really genuinely build wearables and make them successful in the consumer space not only do we think that business by itself is valuable but we hope the insight there helps us build other products um and they've said it's our it's our biosensor technology our algorithms and some of the user experience insights that we have like
somebody like Intel who's just extraordinary at hardware and obviously as you're saying they have a sort of less known software um ability might we see basis as a component of other watches so like if a Google just doesn't have the density of knowledge like if I pick a Google Wear watch couldn't you just give Mot roller or some other company your sensor array and then give them the entire package that you have here of software to be in other watches yeah it's a great question and obviously you k
intel is clearly a different kind of platform than is but there is some really really interesting things happening in Intel um you know weend to think of Intel as a processor company which of course they are uh but they are also a software company third largest in the world I think is one of the stats that I've heard um and they're doing a lot of cool stuff they have Intel Labs doing some really forward-looking research including in BIO signals and algorithmic stuff like we would uh leverage so
what an opportunity if you guys made a basis chest strap and I could complement that during that period
this technology is not going to do second byc heart rate it's not designed for that yep not during High activities not during your run or your bike ride right and as you can see here at 8 in the morning I did my morning run and my heart rate shot way up you got a reading there for 130 but it probably went up to 150 even but that's not what's important you have my heart rate the entire day that's right and I've never had this data I've always wanted this nobody's ever had this data nobody's ever
The basis watch, which I'm a huge fan of, and I had them on the show, bought by Intel earlier this year, I believe.
it's just where you go when you don't have ambition
It's interesting they're headed that way. I guess it's just an announcement. Yeah, so they basically just announced that they've ported the Android mobile operating system to its smartphones on the Atom microprocessor, which is an Intel microprocessor.
So, I guess the love affair with Windows is over, or with Microsoft, or at least what has been for a while, but nonetheless. Yeah. So, Intel basically sees that the world is going Android, at least in some fashion, and it looks like they want to get on the action.
And then for other folks, it could just be complete fear that they're going to lose their business, you know, like Intel, right? And that other people are going to run away with it.
And then Intel launched the Gaudi 3 AI chips for mass production in Q3.
Intel was one of the first companies to set up a major operation in Israel. The chips, like in many of our computers, were developed there, the Intel chips.
With the chips, it's not a vibrant, high functioning market if we have the dependency on Taiwan. And if we lose access to those chips, then we wouldn't be able to make cars, missiles, appliances, and any number of things that we need for the security of the country. So that, that would be the difference. One's a national security issue.
Intel needs loans. Nobody's willing to give them to them. The government gives those loans and in exchange for those loans, we get equity as opposed to making it a grant.
Intel, which is a company that's struggled, et cetera, for sure.
I just don't think that Trump is going to do a better job helping run Intel than Intel would have done on its own. And the poison pill with the foundry business, it just makes me just very uncomfortable.
if Intel was NVIDIA, they'd be like, yeah, that's great. We don't need the money. We don't need the taxpayer money.
If Intel could go raise money, I'm sure there's sovereign wealth funds in the world who'd love to invest or loans if it was a vibrant business. It's obviously not a vibrant business. It is analogous to Chrysler in the Jimmy Carter example, where this is a company that's on the brink of either insolvency or collapsing.
the way Biden executed on the CHIPS Act, and listen, he had support from, I think, both parties, was to just drop money on people's heads, and with no recouping to the American taxpayer.
Intel to be successful in America. Okay. We'd like an American transistor built in America, right? We'd like an American to be doing that.
15 billion, I've heard, 20 billion in loans and grants. There's a portion of the CHIPS Act, which was grants, a portion which were loans, and the majority were grants.
if Intel didn't want this money, they could pass on it, they could go to the private sector, and they could get money. The reason they're taking government money is because they need to, they have to, and it's still a great deal.
intel today actually said there's going to be shortages in chips through 2024
I guarantee you that deep down inside Intel does not want to manufacture chips in the United States because you know why is bad for profit. It is too expensive. Yeah, fundamentally full stop. It is too expensive and too complicated for any of these companies to set up manufacturing in the United States. And they're not going to and they're not going to do it without the CHIPS Act. And the CHIPS Act is not going to pass because Congress can't do Congress doesn't do stuff like this.
intel said it would do 20 billion dollars worth of plants in arizona but they they take years to spin up like we're probably a decade away from full production
Intel, uh, as a fab and Intel primarily focuses on CPUs for their, um, for their fabrication capabilities.
intel is no longer the harbinger of progress there is no intel product for the last 13 years that matters in terms of the frontier of computational capture
Intel catching up on process leadership. And I think they will, um, it's going to take, yeah, Intel is going to catch up. Yeah. I think they'll do quite well.
we invested in our first ai chip company in 2014 ... the idea that many that followed had was wow let's build a custom silicon chip that's even better than nvidia because if the idea was wow we can shoehorn the nvidia chip built for graphics and gaming and we you know at the time thought they're going to be focused primarily on gaming because that's where they're you know making most of their money and this ai stuff will be an afterthought
nvidia has taken that baton and for the last decade and lately there are a lot of custom silicon solutions like google has their tpu and attention to the process amazon's developed their own chips open ai of course is working on their own chip all the major ai companies that you know of have their own semiconductor efforts underway
intel was a bit of in their minds a marketing kind of channel management process to try to double every 18 months correct
we shouldn't listen to anything they have to say about moore's law even today
intel in their development of the cpu the you know the pentium um onward was using human ingenuity to try to build a better and better single processor and then a few multi-core but ultimately nothing like nvidia or the asic or the custom chips that followed that fundamentally ran out of steam there wasn't that much advance you can make while being backward compatible and the the later sort of late cycle intel chips were mostly memory by the way they were like 99.5 percent memory so much cache m
the idea to do that was tim draper's idea 100 and i i not me and and i just want to give credit to him because it was incredibly cheeky at the time to embed a commercial message involuntarily to everything sent by your customers so you signed up for hotmail it feels like a normal email account but now every message you sent has this get your free email at hotmail.com
this idea that the message itself was the vector of uh of spread of marketing in a sense no like a virus which came from the signature when you sent a hot mail it said sent by hotmail or powered by hotmail
hotmail was a really yeah that was like the one people have heard of boom like yeah that was the first one that got visibility bought by microsoft bingo for about 400 million dollars uh you know less than two years in
i just want to give credit to him because it was incredibly cheeky at the time to embed a commercial message involuntarily to everything sent by your customers so you signed up for hotmail it feels like a normal email account but now every message you sent has this get your free email at hotmail.com
this is why you see intel i mean for any like any second when you guys hear an intel press release that says they're investing 90 billion dollars do you not think where does intel come up with 90 billion dollars right this is a pull through from us government because it allows us to start to rebuild an enormous amount of critical infrastructure that we've left to other people
the rational capitalist decision is to offshore manufacturing for intel yes it is irrational for them from a business perspective
if i'm a on the board of intel i'm not going to make a 10 billion dollar fab investment um because you know there may or may not be you know profits down the road to justify that size of an investment so if the government comes along and says we will support we will cover x percent of that investment i can take on more risk and i'm more willing to make that investment and theoretically i can afford to pay people a higher wage or a higher salary because i now have more capital freed up to support
if you had given them sustained tax breaks for being able to build the business line that then supplies things for the duration you know tens of years you're absolutely right investors would laud it it would make a ton of sense they would be over earning over a long enough period of time where people would have to bake that into their cash flow estimates where when you discounted it back it would make the enterprise of intel and nvidia worth more and then people would then want to own that stock
giving a capex subsidy is a meaningless way in which you basically hand out good money to organizations who have otherwise misallocated the money
I make a ton of money yeah this is where it all comes from right I make a ton of money I have no better ideas of how to do it including theoretically building a chip factory so I'm going to go to the government for a handout
intel in 2020 approved a share purchase plan where these guys had a hold of 110 billion dollars and have spent all of it except for 7.2 billion they have 6 billion left on the balance sheet
yeah I mean just because we need to onshore manufacturing doesn't mean that you give Intel and Nvidia giant handouts
Business loser, Intel. From the company that basically commercialized Moore's Law for the advancement of humanity to just a totally confused shell of its former self.
I think this is a big improvement over where the Chips Act started.
I think that this approach is the much better approach, which is to say, we can do exactly what China did with a couple of tweaks. It's way better, as you said, Jason, to just put in the equity, own something on the balance sheet of the United States, not have a golden vote, have complete transparency, allow the capital markets to finance these businesses, but give them a chance to compete all around the world. And then the US taxpayer gets some of the upside. That is awesome.
