intel is targeting security in the cloud with mcafee as of the recent acquisition of the of the of the company mcafee
it feels like cloud washing to me i mean perhaps just a big announcement about how to authenticate your phone or users across the cloud i know there was something about being able to embed private keys into chips before so that you could sell signed certificates from your computer in a way that couldn't be hacked by by by potential security threats in your operating system not sure how that exactly maps into into cloud that might be more of a positioning thing than a real technology standpoint
it represents a dilemma for companies like ibm and hewlett packard and hence i see them making the move that they're doing today is how do you still manage to capture a decent percentage or hopefully not a diminishing percentage of those enterprise i.t budgets if things are moving to infrastructure as a service world
