Build apps, websites, and digital products faster using Lovable's AI-powered platform, no deep coding skills required. observed
Five evidence lanes (activity, capital, infra, hiring, ecosystem) as within-cohort percentiles, combined with evidence-breadth weights over the 60-company baseline cohort. The ± band widens with missing lanes — it measures what the score stands on. 17 signals in the last 60 days back this number.
Counted from the company's own job board — each point a dated observation.
Subdomains appearing in public certificate-transparency logs — infrastructure standing up, dated at detection. Intent labels are deterministic (token map), not guessed.

Unproven ≠ false — it means the deadline or the evidence hasn't arrived. Nothing here is editorial: every count is a ledger row you can open on the Proof page.
No single number decides. Layers can disagree — that's the point. New to this? →
The platform's own early signals for this company — hard-to-fake, and where one preceded a real raise, the measured lead.
as we just saw at the beginning of the program with lovable so when you start using lovable.dev i wonder if it was it when it did mine it said i'm looking i'm using zero fasting as inspiration and i was like oh okay well that's interesting it basically did a search in its reasoning are there other fasting apps out there what can we learn from them what are their features and then it probably did a scrape of somebody at zdnet or cnet doing a review of zero fasting and what features they highlight
so so um we're seeing this smiling retention curves are not that much smiling but they're flattened and there's a lot of people that come in and they're like oh there's a new ai tool i want to try it but for us which is uncommon there's a at 45 of the users uh they that's where the retention line completely flattens out so so that's that's how that's how it looks right now and the reason for people the 60 or the 55 percent leaving is currently that there are places where as a non-technical perso
I just did a landing page for founder university and I looked at it and I was like huh that landing page would be you know last year or two years ago if I asked some average member of our team to make a landing page what they would have built so i do think you know the refinement of design is the piece i'm kind of interested in and i also did a a quick one where i said make me a fasting app and it used zero as its inspiration but it didn't have great design and so the design piece i think will b
You say, Hey, I want to build. And I put it in their annotated.com. My concept of had bought the domain name annotated.com and I signed up, I paid for it. Cause you have to pay for it. And I said, build me, uh, this thing, a Chrome extension. And it went to work and it made the output was a gorgeous webpage that looked very similar to like notion or some other designs. And it told me who it was going to be inspired by for that. And it creates this magical experience, but there's no publish to th
there's a company that hit the market, I'd say, beginning of 2025, I'm sure you're all familiar with Lovable. They've had this tremendous effect with giving this magical feel of AI, with generating UI and UX.
I think vibe coding is really interesting. These companies capture people's attention, and we are in the sampling phase of AI.
this is a huge increase in their capital base, which has me slightly worried, to be honest, because it can be distracting to have that much money. But really impressive. I'm really happy for them and just shows that Europe can still build.
We had Lovable on the show, February 3rd, 2025, episode 2080. The CEO, Anton Osaika came on. And at that time, Jason, they were just a little Swedish company that had grown to 10 million in AR. Now they're at 75 million in AR, and they just raised $200 million in a round, led by Excel at $1.8 billion valuation.
They are one of the leading lights of the vibe coding and use AI to build yourself an application game. Really fast product velocity to Jason's prior point, and a company that I really, really like.
she's like no no i'm building it i've been vibe coding and lovable wanted to show it to you it's a little early but here's what it is and i was like oh you could build a portal like angel list you know for our private syndicate with out being a coder okay interesting it feels like there's something big there
that's why people love using Lovable. I love to use it as well. And especially if you are technical, you can do your hobby project in minutes instead of taking a few days for them.
Lovable needs to have all the primitives on the kind of software architectural side to be able to create everything you need from 95% of SaaS companies. So on the Facebook scale, maybe it's going to be hard to vibe code it on a Lovable. But how these different primitives come together in the technical architecture, that's what's opinionated. But as long as you have all the primitives, there should not be a significant narrowing of what you can produce.
And you had an incredible revenue run rate. Tell us about the incredible run rate that Lovable had, and then we'll get into product.
as the product becomes much more capable, we're naturally being able to capture more of the value that's being unlocked by software eating the world.
What we're going to do is to let the 99% who don't know how to code instantly turn their ideas into software. And that's unlocking entrepreneurship. And it's building up very, very large enterprises where product managers, designers, marketeers can move without being bottlenecked by engineers.
what we're set on is to build the first trillion dollar company from Europe, from here.
last time we spoke in February, I think we had just hit 20,000 paying customers or something. And now we're almost at 20x that. And we're still very early days on the product.
When do you think it crosses over? Like if you were to give an honest assessment or if we were going to make a poly market and we were going to place a, you know, a bet on it, that lovable's security is twice as good as an expert, twice as good as an expert.
For applications built fully and lovable compared to sysadmin building it from scratch, I think on average, like on average, it'd be more secure, two weeks more secure is going to be in the coming 18 months.
lovable highlights, um, man, 120 million in ARR, the question everybody has is the durability of this revenue. Is this durable, uh, or is it brittle revenue? And that's what we'll find out over time.
in 2023, very little revenue, nine zero, 2024 cursor was getting big. Lovable was tiny. And then this year they've become absolute goliaths, as Jason said, in the nine figure revenue range. So one of the fastest growing categories, I think in the history of technology.
lovable, uh, as I mentioned, had hit a hundred. So these are amazing.
cursor and lovable revenue, those two companies got to nine figures in revenue in like low single digit years
And can you imagine how much money this make and how sticky it would make your app if you had a hundred photos in there of your kids doing Jedi stuff or. Marvel stuff, whatever it is. Like now you unsubscribe and you lose that. No, and your kids are going to want to keep doing it. So this is the future of entertainment.
I think this is the future of it. If you are selling chat GPT subscriptions, there's two ways to go about this. ... So it can go both ways, Alex. You see what I'm saying? This is why I need to be a studio head. I will be running the Disney corporation. And, uh, this will be one of the first things I do.
They rushed it out for a good reason.
it's very early on, but it is built for social. It's like a TikTok style app where you're supposed to scroll and you like and you share. But it's as of yet, because it's invite only, it is not very social. There's no good way to find people you know in there.
it's a lot more fun to make these clips than it is to watch them. So I've seen amazing, really funny stuff that has two or three likes that's just dying on the vine, because there aren't enough people watching. Everybody wants to make things. Nobody wants to watch other people's.
It's going to be staggering.
Yeah, they're going to get a lot of lawsuits for that.
That's what the Wall Street Journal reported last week, that they said, yeah, Sam Altman says it's an opt out, that they informed everybody this is coming. Let us know if you want to opt out or not.
The last thing I'll say in terms of in the plus category, and I think as a user, this is a plus. As a publisher, media, copyright holder, I would not think it's a plus. But it's very easy to work around. There are guardrails to prevent you. If you just wrote like Shrek at a rave, it might be like, we can't do that because Shrek is a licensed character. But you can, like in this case, I didn't say a character name. I said a Jedi Knight talks his way out of a parking ticket.
It's Elvis. It may not look exactly like him, but it's not creepy. It's not in that uncanny valley. They've made it to the other side of the valley, which a lot of people, myself included, didn't necessarily think they were going to.
It's getting better at storytelling. It's figuring out narrative. And it's not just characters standing around saying, like, hello, how are you? I am good. How are you? I'm good. You know, like the original AI, it was very basic. And this is... It's gotten to that next level of cleverness, wit, thoughtfulness about the scenario.
And you've been very cynical about this category, let's be honest. Sure. You felt it wasn't good at jokes. It wasn't good at that. So this is an honest assessment from you that it's crossing this chasm into... Absolutely. Contributing creatively.
I would sell every share you have, or I would sell 80%, get diversification for your family. Take that 80% if you believe in the category, and I would literally put it into the other players you're competing against if you really believe in that space. More likely than not, if you were to get the 10 million, spend $3 million on your house and then put the rest into index funds.
If I was an employee, I would sell every share I have. I literally, if I was an employee with 10 million shares, I would sell all 10 million. Why? If you have so much risk owning this stock that there could be a drawdown, there's competition. And reasonably, what's the largest comparable company here? Microsoft, Apple? Maybe it's Microsoft because they're a software company. Maybe it's Google.
I think it's a bad trade. I think when they go public, they might have a hard time sustaining this price. It could go to a trillion based on people being enthusiastic or irrationally exuberant. If you remember those two words from another era, irrational exuberance. We are in the irrational exuberance era right now with private companies like OpenAI. It's nothing personal to them or Sam. It's just the demand is too high for these shares.
which people are taking to indicate that they're big believers in the company.
Not a demand issue, a supply issue. Employees in the company didn't put up as many shares as they could have in this tender offer,
it is now the most valuable private company in the world.
So, hey, we're a seed stage company like Lovable, and we're making 75 million. We only have 40 employees, and we're making almost 2 million employees.
whereas an AI software company like Lovable, if it becomes very well-known and it goes viral on social media, you know, you got 20 people building it, 40 people building it, and you have unlimited number of people who can use it.
Maybe Midjourney should have done Vibes. Maybe they should have hired 10 more developers to do Sora, right? And make an app and a social network. So they're probably not taking advantage of the moment enough and not putting that work, putting that to work.
Midjourney was built by a bunch of rich people. And it was early, and they have a ton of revenue, and it looks like their annual revenue is 500 million, so they're making 12 million per employee. Obviously, that's not sustainable or real. It might be for them for some period of time.
So here's a recent chart of Reddit's financial performance as a stock, Jason. Clearly it's taken quite a lot of blows. It was around 240 earlier in the week and now it is down to $208 per share. So yes, a lot of downward pressure there, perhaps from the Google SEO situation.
The other thing that's interesting is these browsers are a backdoor for training data. If Reddit and Hacker News and Tech Meme do not allow an LLM to scrape their content, right, or to otherwise produce it, well, I'm running a tool on my computer and I'm scraping the website. I'm opening the browser windows. So since it's my browser and my IP address and the Mac address of, you know, my computer, it's not their scrapers going and doing things in the world.
I think they're both killers.
both of these companies, Rippling and Deal, are incredible businesses. And they're from the era of SaaS. Very much so. Yes. And, you know, they charge on a per-employee basis. But they will move into consumption AI disruptive products, I predict. These are companies that have good enough management teams that they'll both start moving into the AI space. But I could see both of these companies, you know, becoming worth hundreds of billions of dollars and having a chance if they globally become th
I have a tiny number of shares in this company deal.
And I just wanted to run the number of bikes. It seems low for the current era. Companies are quite expensive. And this one has proven itself in global footprint and profitability just feels minor to me.
at a $1.2 billion run rate, Jason, his company is now worth roughly 14x ARR.
I own shares in Deal, cap-based is being spun out. This other group bought it. So we're not participating in that.
A very impressive company, even given the shadow hanging over it.
And we're like at Lovable, we're very bullish on finding who are the best people building with our tools. So tomorrow we're launching something where you can launch your lovable apps and get feedback from users. And then I think what you're going to see is the single people companies where the founder has great product taste, building like single person SaaS companies and being able to launch and market them just thanks to the wisdom of the crowds, figuring out where the best high value SaaS pro
Lovable is not creating new figmas. And that's true.
I can literally go to Lovable, code it with a prompt, and then immediately I have this.
