Perplexity is a free AI-powered answer engine that provides accurate, trusted, and real-time answers to any question. observed
Five evidence lanes (activity, capital, infra, hiring, ecosystem) as within-cohort percentiles, combined with evidence-breadth weights over the 60-company baseline cohort. The ± band widens with missing lanes — it measures what the score stands on. 31 signals in the last 60 days back this number.
Counted from the company's own job board — each point a dated observation.
Subdomains appearing in public certificate-transparency logs — infrastructure standing up, dated at detection. Intent labels are deterministic (token map), not guessed.
↗ Strongest signal: funding_magnitude (26% of the score).
The skeptic's read what this company has said, judged against what happened
Unproven ≠ false — it means the deadline or the evidence hasn't arrived. Nothing here is editorial: every count is a ledger row you can open on the Proof page.
No single number decides. Layers can disagree — that's the point. New to this? →
The platform's own early signals for this company — hard-to-fake, and where one preceded a real raise, the measured lead.
i don't think they're gonna break one percent
perplexity will not break one percent marsh's share in a in a quarter within the next five years
those companies will have less than one percent search market share
what's going to happen is like google will have uh all of these features bing will have all these features facebook will add all these features i think it's just way too hard to displace google um and i think google will just add these features as they need to
get to like a baseline replication but i think that's where you know they can stack on and they can differentiate right now i actually think it's getting harder and harder i think a simple thing
anybody can replicate that very quickly and they're both i think using chat gpt4 so like they have different set of models i think it's easy to
be interested in those offers so those offers would work just as well and so actually in a way what perplexity and u.com are doing is what this seo person is doing yeah they're creating a page they're
so perplexity seemed to actually get that nuance so i could say a b plus i give the other one a c plus
i think look they're very similar so i'm gonna i would give them the same grade between you.com and perplexity right now yeah i give them a b i give them both a b
um and i think they've done a good job with these live resources so it says 173.81
so yeah you might argue that you know perplexity and you.com presenting it or jpt with bing support or bings doing it would be a better experience for this query
so that's a smart thing when they're doing references they said always include the date
if i'm over at perplexity which does a better job of pulling in and you're showing me the dates from different um yeah here in the most recently one they understood that they should put the date which is a presentation level thing just whatever the article says the publication date was show it
if you look at something like perplexity who we're going to talk about today you know they have 50 million active users already that's scale now and they can run that and i think that's pretty impressive from their standpoint and i think fundamentally aligns to what we've seen with cost reductions happening in the um inference space so it's uh basically happening already thanks to the inference cost thanks to open source models
the third one is perplexity we all know uh perplexity the conversational search engine that's trying to overtake google and is even ahead of uh ahead of chad gpt um and has a founding team from from open ai and is uh is growing like crazy and every time i'm trying to make sense of what's happening in the world at this moment i i go to there instead of uh instead of to google because i feel like there's less less bias and uh what's happening to google in the last few weeks is is amazing for for f
with rising search query load, an AI-first approach that is, I think, cleaner than what Google offers today, a subscription business, and a nascent ads business, well, you can kind of understand why VCs are excited about the company.
I view it as kind of a binary bet. If you value Perplexity on its fundamentals today, it's probably a little bit expensive at the $9 billion mark. But if you think it's going to get 1, 2, 3, 5, 10% of the search market down the road, then it is absolutely on sale today.
SEMrush reports that Google handles about 5.9 million searches a minute, so Perplexity is still orders of magnitude smaller than the search incumbent. But here's the thing. I don't think that really matters. What matters is that search is incredibly valuable. And that means that every point of search market share that a company can control will generate an enormous amount of wealth.
after handling around 500 million queries in 2023, an impressive number, Perplexity served $250 million in July alone. And more recently, in late October, the startup said that it had scaled its query load to $100 million per week, or about $400 million per month.
I do like Perplexity. It reminds me a lot of what I tried to do with Mahalo before AI was really available in doing, like, these more rich search results. And I kind of got a lot of my ideas from a company called Naver, which is the search engine in Korea that was really the innovator in what we called, you know, at the time is this, like, dynamic search results. So I think Perplexity, I'm not, like, a long-term fan of it because I think that, you know, a lot of the UI interface stuff that they'
I think that's a great choice.
My winner is Perplexity.
This is an AI search engine that we have all heard of, we have all used. It raised tons of money. It grew quickly. It got embroiled in controversies about plagiarism and publishing and rights. It has been on everyone's lips. It has been, I think, a company that's been impossible to ignore.
So, they grew from $15 million to $100 million in 12 months. Pretty significant. That's crazy.
I think it goes to show that they are undercharging, similar to how Cursor slash AnySphere is. Because you don't reach revenue of that scale so quickly unless you're offering something that people want and at a price that rules.
So, they just hit $100 million in annualized revenue. And they're very clear that this does not include trials, because we've been talking about that lately. 20 months to get there. They said that they grew 6.3x last year.
As a sort of lay person in the, in the AI world, it really feels like chat GPT, Gemini and Grok are way more visible. And then there's, there's a ton of other companies.
Then there's been plenty of paid search engines that people have tried to take the ads out and give you a paid search engine about five to 25% of consumers, depending on the category, like to pay for stuff. Most people like an ad base. So this is gonna be challenging, but I give them a lot of credit.
I do think Perplexity is going to have a differentiation issue when, you know, you start to see people get into the habit of chat, GPT, uh, grok, when they're in Twitter, Facebook's, you know, AI, when you're in those things, it's, you know, standing up and getting a hundred million, 200, 300 million people to pay for a product. Other people are giving away for free. So it's gonna be hard. It's gonna be hard.
But Perplexity seems pretty good at these, um, deals.
So they seem to be very partnership savvy.
Are they doing too many non-core things as a company? I feel like Perplexity is always in the news and it feels, um, frantic to me, but I'm curious if I'm just being too conservative about how companies should approach partnerships if they can get major ones.
Perplexity has snagged a big deal with upcoming Motorola Razr phones... the new Razr, Razr Plus and Razr Ultras, which launched on May 15th, will come with Perplexity pre-installed.
perplexity is just not going to fall into [fair use]. If perplexity used a human to summarize these articles, read them and summarize them, even if they're behind a paywall, you could do that. That is fair use. If a human does it, it is not fair use if you do it programmatically with a machine.
Perplexity didn't want to. And so they're going to get sued. But I think that's a mistake. I think they should have just paid.
The other thing here from the FT is that apparently the BBC is in talks with other AI companies, including Amazon. So my read here is that everyone else is going to pay.
The BBC is threatening to sue perplexity... the BBC is like, hey, stop taking our stuff, delete what you have and offer us some money. And perplexity is saying that the BBC's claims are manipulative and opportunistic and that they, quote, have a fundamental misunderstanding of technology, the internet, and intellectual property law.
perplexity, of course, is the very well-known AI search startup. Jason, we talked about how it crossed a hundred million in ARR earlier this year, hundreds of millions of searches done each month.
we have also seen news that Apple might work with either Anthropic or OpenAI to source their models as opposed to what it's built in-house. And if they do that, the need for perplexity goes down a little bit, Lon. But I'll also just say Apple has a history of small acquisitions, not big ones. And that's also leading against this being a possibility.
perplexity has this great model, but nothing to do with it. ... like this feels like an obvious collaboration. Like Apple needs a model to power their consumer facing apps that are already being used.
perplexity doesn't have that. If you want to check out perplexity's models, you got to just go, I think it's perplexity.ai. You got to like go there and purposefully look something up using perplexity's model.
We knew long going into this, that Apple has snipped around perplexity before that meta has sniffed around perplexity. And so I think this is a perfectly fine thing to bet on. I'm just surprised that it hasn't moved more in the wake of the Grammarly superhuman deal, because I think we're seeing more AI first products by one another. And I think that that same pressure probably implies that Apple really does need to buy an AI champion. So I almost want to say this looks a little bit under voted,
this gets pretty expensive there's a reason why this is 200 a month what i just did is probably going to cost them actual money especially if they're saving all this data into a large language model in a context window somewhere
i could see this becoming a very interesting product
what comet has put together goes a little bit further frankly
this is what i've always wanted this is what i want chat gpt grok and everybody to do and so i think that this concept is going to be the winning concept
perplexity launched comet their browser i know there's another browser called dia these are all with the idea that you can do two main functions one is agentic behaviors like go do some tasks for me the second is uh being able to run a large language model against your previous browser windows or the ones you have open
that's a business model for you launch a higher price tier then drop your coolest thing and put it right behind that gate and you know what 10 points it works
if it if this doesn't provide enough value which i don't think it does you know after an hour half an hour an hour of using it i don't think it spreads enough value for 2000 or 2400 dollars a year but at 50 bucks a month i probably would sign up for it so somewhere between those two numbers is reality for me
perplexity of course is the well-known ai search engine it's gotten up to 780 million queries per month as of may jason and they've been teasing this comet browser for some time now
i want to talk about perplexity's comet browser today and show you because i was using it before the show and i think we're getting close to agentic technology actually working
300 a month is actually a new high watermark because i believe you can pay google 250 you can pay open ai 200 you can pay perplexity one or 200 bucks cursor 200 bucks
there's a 300 level version of grok a 200 level of perplexity um i think google has an offering in that range as well i wonder if those things are long for this world and if we just have a 20 version all you can eat eventually is where this winds up
some of the companies are saying, we're not disregarding robots.txt. Instead, what we're doing is we're just following through what the user requests. And so all these rags, scrapes, rag queries, rag pings should be treated as if they were done by a human. That's a very friendly perspective for the Googles and perplexities of the world.
we see this happen in, you know, when you saw the perplexity cloudflare sort of debacle two weeks ago, right? Yep. That was fun. That was a fun one.
when you saw that sort of, you know, anytime you share a conversation on OpenAI, that link, if it gets picked up by a search caller, can actually get indexed, right? Literally today, I think XAI's Grok was dinged for the same thing.
whether it's OpenAI's agent platform, it's Perplexity's agent platform, um, or, you know, you use a platform like, say, MindStudio, right? These agents are going out in droves. They are hammering your site for information, right? Uh, and that actually costs the website in CDN bills, right? Quite a lot. And so you're not able to monetize, but at the same time, these AI companies are saying, well, it's equivalent to a user, right? The user might have clicked your link anyways, but the unit economi
i think perplexity should just rebrand as begin such a better domain they could do a national campaign and then people would remember it
perplexity is a terrible name no i mean i'm trying to think of a worse name than perplexity that's what happens when an engineer named something perplexity
this is where i think apple should buy brave and duck duck go maybe perplexity
And we're seeing great companies like perplexity.ai in six months, they've built out an application that has now got millions of users that wouldn't have been possible in a more traditional way of working.
we're hiring for ios and android mainly right now so ios engineers if you want to come and help build our mobile experiences please join us
we just want regular daily users to stop using google and use our product
what we offer in the paid version is unlimited uses of that not full like technically unlimited so more like 300 queries a day which is practically unlimited for most people um and then everything else is free
the copilot is just meant to be like a companion like that the world uses the word is a companion for search and it's going to help you plan travel by products um prepare meal plans according to your preferences and if you integrate your ai profile with it it's going to give you like much more detailed recommendations
more like an interactive search companion ah uh that it does the equivalent of uh hundreds of search queries for you not just one so you can ask it really complex queries... it's almost like you're having a researcher at your disposal
we didn't do the haptics thing because i found it pretty annoying to use when we were beta testing it and so did the others in our company
yeah so we we don't waste time trying to hire people that same woman will be hiring anyway uh it's very you cannot compete they have way more cash way more like and they can give way less percent of the company because they have way bigger valuation so what we do is go for these people who are still trying to get into ai very talented engineers who haven't done ai before and want to be part of an amazing product that's growing and they want to feel the dopamine from shipping every week and want
i did a search uh for interviews uh with the ceo of airbnb mine didn't come up but other ones did but then it came up with i did ones from the past year and uh man that was kind of a bingo it kind of nailed it uh which is a kind of a nice feeling
i really think that's a creative idea and i can see how what you're talking about is yeah got some um there's some point to this which is if you narrow the scope or you build some interesting prompt engineering or narrowing uh and thoughtfulness you can get to a better answer
i think that this kind of um style of advertising where a company ceo starts a discussion with you in chat gpt uh and in a in a chat interface is going to be magical
i'm more with you here okay so firstly i think relevance can be even more targeted now than ever before i what what is the purpose of google it's just bringing two parties together the advertiser and the consumer and they help you connect these two parties together with their query and link matching right at the end of the day the advertiser wants to get their content to the consumer or the content and llm can give you that needles in the haystack even better like it's even more targeted honestl
ideally if there's a need for us to pay any party for their data access we'll do it
as for how we do it like what links we know for you to use for which query we we do like take your query and figure out like which category it is and like try to use that information to um give you the right sources it's pretty hard actually google does a tremendous job at this and um we are also doing something called focus searches where in the search bar instead of using
it is the case today uh the reason is they have the best models and there's still a lot of differentiation you can have and how you harness the power of these models these are so general purpose machines it's almost like you buy the engine from somewhere but you're building um a whole car with a lot of different parts and you can still build a better car
people have done comparisons between us and bing and um you know we have like much better accuracy in terms of how correctly we cite things a lot of academic research has been done there uh people spend on an average like two minutes more on our site than bing uh so that engagement is much better there so our bounce rates are much lower than bing
there's only one way to win against the person who has much more distribution than you which is a superior product
and i think at some point you're just going to take answers as the de facto search experience that's kind of what we want to bring together
i have been saying hey if you're going to get a bunch of information and present it to me in a beautiful uh you know answer with bullet points and numbers uh like perplexity just did for me i asked it hey what are activities i should do with my seven year olds and uh they like cities and the outdoors and it gave me four popular uh destinations for cities and four popular destinations outside really good suggestions really tightly summarized and then at the bottom it said hey and then here are th
yeah so firstly we uh we started off a week after chat gpt came out we put it out and there was a lot of difference at that time which is we were just a search bar and we give direct answers with citations uh whereas chat gpt was this entertaining hallucinatory bot that was not not just you know like correct many times but it was also equally wrong many times and its mistakes were also entertaining right so we focused a lot more on revamping search realizing that you know 10 years from now no on
And can you imagine how much money this would make and how sticky it would make your app if you had a hundred photos in there of your kids doing Jedi stuff or Marvel stuff, whatever it is. Like now you unsubscribe and you lose that. No, and your kids are going to want to keep doing it. So this is the future of entertainment.
I think this is the future of it. If you are selling chat GPT subscriptions, there's two ways to go about this. ... I showed it, I think on the show, and I did it during my Nostracanis keynote. ... you're on the New York Times, you're authenticate with chat GPT. And now you have a chat GPT box. And you say, give me the earliest mentions of Putin. ... So it can go both ways, Alex. You see what I'm saying? This is why I need to be a studio head. I will be running the Disney corporation. And, uh, t
speaking of remixes, the one downside at this point, and I know it's very early on, but it is built for social. It's like a TikTok style app where you're supposed to scroll and you like and you share. But it's as of yet, because it's invite only, it is not very social. There's no good way to find people you know in there.
They're going to get a lot of lawsuits for that. You can also see... It's going to be staggering.
They're going to get a lot of lawsuits. Yeah.
That's what the Wall Street Journal reported last week, that they said, yeah, Sam Altman says it's an opt out, that they informed everybody this is coming. Let us know if you want to opt out or not.
And Alex, the reporting is they're telling copyright holders they have to opt out? Correct.
The last thing I'll say in terms of in the plus category, and I think as a user, this is a plus. As a publisher, media, copyright holder, I would not think it's a plus. But it's very easy to work around. There are guardrails to prevent you. If you just wrote like Shrek at a rave, it might be like, we can't do that because Shrek is a licensed character. But you can, like in this case, I didn't say a character name. I said a Jedi Knight talks his way out of a parking ticket.
Yes, it is doing more in terms of figuring out... It's getting better at storytelling. It's figuring out narrative. And it's not just characters standing around saying, like, hello, how are you? I am good. How are you? I'm good. You know, like the original AI, it was very basic. And this is... It's gotten to that next level of cleverness, wit, thoughtfulness about the scenario.
And you've been very cynical about this category, let's be honest. Sure. You felt it wasn't good at jokes. It wasn't good at that. So this is an honest assessment from you that it's crossing this chasm into... Absolutely. Contributing creatively.
And it is, it's sort of functioning like an agent. And it is tied into your chat GPT account. So if you use yourself and you say, Lon Harris is on a talk show, it'll have the talk show interviewer ask me like, so what movies have you seen lately? Or tell us what it's like working with Jason. Like, it knows me from my chat GPT.
But it's not just that. It can fill in the gaps for you. So if you give it a funny premise, Sora's very good at figuring out what the joke is or what the bit is and actually filling in the details in a way that adds value to the premise you came up with.
I wanted to stop by and talk about it because I do feel like this is a genuine step up from where we've been.
Sora, we talked about it earlier on the show. I have some big news. It has reached the absolute top of the iOS app store here in the United States, besting even ChatGPT, besting even Google Gemini, which means that OpenAI has yet another hit on its hand.
If I was an employee, I would sell every share I have. I literally, if I was an employee with 10 million shares, I would sell all 10 million.
I think it's a bad trade. I think when they go public, they might have a hard time sustaining this price. It could go to a trillion based on people being enthusiastic or irrationally exuberant. If you remember those two words from another era, irrational exuberance. We are in the irrational exuberance era right now with private companies like OpenAI.
But another, you know, firm might have 400 people and make 125K per person, right? Or they 10X it, and they would have, yeah, if they had 400, they would have 1.25. So now you've got 400 engineers working on something, and the engineers are getting paid 500K, and they're each generating 1.25 million. It's like, this could be too profitable, right? You're not ambitious enough. Maybe Midjourney should have done Vibes. Maybe they should have hired 10 more developers to do Sora, right? And make an a
I think the entire future of Reddit is to go there and get an LLM search box and then underneath it have, you know, make it look like Google with the search box or perplexity or anybody, Brave Search, DuckDuckGo, DuckDuckGo, have it be a search engine and underneath it have all of the top communities. And then it should be studying you and doing your for you page and serving you up stuff. And they really should just assume that the era of free search engine traffic is going to be deprecated slow
People were saying that the stock is down because of this, like 5% or 10% because Reddit typically appears in the lower rankings. So this is, could be a big part of this future story, which is the impact of SEO and scraping and content creators and how do they get traffic to their website? How do they get traffic to their website?
Well, ironic because Reddit does have a deal with Google that pays them for access to their information. And as we talked about it, I think at the end of last year, Reddit put together its own search product that you and I were pretty bullish on, but then doesn't seem to be discussed or mentioned. I never see people using it. So I wonder if their own kind of in-house search portal is a bit of a flop, which surprises me, frankly, given that I thought that was going to be successful.
So here's a recent chart of Reddit's financial performance as a stock, Jason. Clearly it's taken quite a lot of blows. It was around 240 earlier in the week and now it is down to $208 per share. So yes, a lot of downward pressure there, perhaps from the Google SEO situation.
The other thing that's interesting is these browsers are a backdoor for training data. If Reddit and Hacker News and Tech Meme do not allow an LLM to scrape their content, right, or to otherwise produce it, well, I'm running a tool on my computer and I'm scraping the website. I'm opening the browser windows. So since it's my browser and my IP address and the Mac address of, you know, my computer, it's not their scrapers going and doing things in the world.
So the cost of capital for AI companies is very cheap right now. So it probably does not matter if they've raised hundreds of millions of dollars, if they lose an extra $1 or $2 million a month at this point in time. So getting continued growth and having more users sign up for free and then funneling the free users into the paid product. And then, of course, I'm sure these browsers will have advertising built into them.
OpenAI, chances on Polymarket of OpenAI launching a browser. I think we pulled that up and we can pull it up again here. Polymarket, I think, had it at 70% that the browser would be released and users could use that browser. So we'll be sitting here by the end of the year. And I think every LLM will have a browser to do this.
I don't think it's as good as, it's not as feature rich as Comet is.
I think they probably did this right. They knew it was, when you use the Comet browser or any of these AI browsers, I think your utilization of AI goes way up. It's just front and center in the browser. So you're probably costing them more money and they probably were concerned. ... Anyway, that was probably their concern is can they handle the amount of traffic coming in and can they handle it profitably? Anyway, the big story next year will be we invested all this CapEx on servers, on data cen
It's just the demand is too high for these shares. If I was an employee, I would sell every share I have.
We are in the irrational exuberance era right now with private companies like OpenAI. It's nothing personal to them or Sam.
And this is just showing that kind of, I was just confused kind of why Perplexity would launch it. It felt like more of a feature that could easily be replaced by OpenClaw.
I did get this idea from Perplexity, which recently launched their model council, which right when I saw this, I was basically like, we can just make this easily ourselves.
Our customers are seeing rises in traffic from ChatGPT, Provexity, Gemini, AI Overviews.
this is thanks to the new, you know, indexing method that Perplexity started out pioneered and started off with, but now we saw chat to be incorporating search into GA in October last year and more and more engines clawed incorporating search as well recently.
It definitely auto routes the best model for each prompt, but we also give users the flexibility to pick whatever model they want.
AI coding tools have made it much faster for us to ship things, which is honestly one of the reasons why we built computer, because now even non-engineers are shipping code here by just bringing a slack bot and asking it to fix bugs. Yeah. So the iteration has just been like exponential.
Our philosophy is like speed is our mode. Like, you know, again, one of the things that big companies cannot do is move at the speed we do, serve customers at the speed and quality.
the model council is a feature we built where it will not just give you the answers of each model, but it will tell you exactly where they agree, where they disagree and where the nuances are.
the orchestra conductor that has no one model to the horse in the race can win by providing a very unique value and service to the customer that each of these amazing names that you mentioned cannot.
We're like Switzerland. We don't have to have one horse in the race. If GPT wins, Gemini wins, Claude wins, Lama wins. It doesn't matter to us. Or even open source models can win. No problem.
So one advantage we have that all these companies you mentioned don't have is the multi-model orchestration.
every revenue Perplexity makes has positive gross margins. Got it. Because we're not just selling tokens. Right. Most of our revenue is recurring because people are paying a subscription fee. And because we route through multiple different models, we're very efficient in terms of how we spend on the tokens. Because we have all this advantage with drag and orchestration and search. We don't actually need to blow up the context window of the models. Yeah. As a result of that, we have positive gros
And things like computer unlock entirely new possibilities. For example, we've saved more than a hundred million dollars for our enterprise max customers. We're on the highest tier of enterprise. Explain what that is. What does it cost? 200 a month per person? So there are two tiers. One is the enterprise pro, which is $40 a month. And there's the enterprise max, which is $400 a month. And on a computer, after you run out of your credits, you would pay for the tokens. You would pay for the usage
It's the fastest growing business for us. It's growing faster than the consumer and revenue.
Computer exists as a Slack bot right now. Okay. That you can add to your Slack workspace on the enterprise plan. And our entire company works like that. People are talking more to computer on Slack than other people.
You've done great as a consumer company. A lot of love there. Now I'm starting to see corporations with computer starting engaging. And in fact, you'll be happy to know this. Last week, I took two people in my back office and I said, stop working on OpenClaw. Your job is to do the back office automation at our venture firm only using perplexity. And they were like, perplexity computer. And they were like, oh, okay. It doesn't talk well in Slack. It doesn't have an agent in Slack. I was like, it
My prediction is that initially start off as a sub-agent. So whatever you need to go, like your tax returns, your personal photos, your emails, your calendar, all that stuff, those local apps, your personal notes, very personal notes. You could make sure that the models that access those tokens will be running on your local hardware if you want to, if you're that privacy conscious. And more complicated stuff that accesses your data that's already on the server side, example, your Google Calendar
Nobody needs to manage API keys. Nobody needs to manage separate billing across like a hundred different services, figure out what you can give access to and not access to. We take care of that. So it's a Steve jobs way of doing it.
So we announced something called personal computer, perplexity personal computer. That's essentially going to take all the trust and reliability and the server side execution of perplexity computer, but synchronize it with your local computer so that you can use it from your phone. And we're going to do this with the Mac mini, where you synchronize your computer with the Mac mini. So that becomes your local server. All the agent orchestration that has to do with your local private data will run
One common theme for us for the last three and a half years is accuracy. Perplexity wants to be the company that's building the most accurate AI. So when you want to give somebody answers, accuracy is very essential for building trust. Because only then the user is going to ask the next set of questions. It turns out it was a great idea to give AI access to the internet to be accurate. So that's the perplexity ask product. It turns out it's a great idea for AI to have full access to a browser so
you have a very loyal fan base.
boy, it's good. It's a really strong start, allowing me to do repetitive tasks.
I want to go through three stages in which I fell in love with your product.

Realized federal award records for this company — a verifiable, dollar-denominated government signal. Recipient name matched with high confidence; figures are per-award totals from USAspending.gov.
Gray-market attention, not quality. 50+ HN mentions (peak 1315 points). Claim-shaped headlines are rumors until corroborated — a Tier-3 factual claim carries no evidentiary weight on its own. Risk drivers: heavy gray-market attention. ▲ 1315 Perplexity is using stealth, undeclared crawlers to evade no-crawl directives 2025-08-04 ↗
