Whiz had an absurd operating plan that retrospectively proved successful. observed
No person- or entity-level identity check is on record for this company. A name match is not one.
The inclusion bar: two or more independent sourced evidence families. This profile is published and listed. It is a statement about how much evidence we hold, and about nothing else.
We have not established fit. That is not a soft no and not a soft yes — it is unknown, and it is never counted as a qualified prospect.
UNKNOWN (not a soft no, never counted as qualified). Blocker: No source states a band-bearing stage for any financing event we hold.
What would overturn this:
Assessed 2026-10-24 for seed/Series-A sourcing.
Five evidence lanes (activity, capital, infra, hiring, ecosystem) as within-cohort percentiles, combined with evidence-breadth weights over the 60-company baseline cohort. The ± band widens with missing lanes — it measures what the score stands on. Scores publish at 2+ evidence lanes; this company's tape carries 1 (0 signals/60d), so no number is claimed.
No standout signal or flag yet.
The skeptic's read what this company has said, judged against what happened
Sharpest miss on record: “Google will acquire Wiz for an amount roughly 23 times what Facebook paid for Instagram.” — Google has not acquired Wiz; the company remains independent, and no transaction approaching 23 times the $1B Facebook‑Instagram purchase has occurred.
Unproven ≠ false — it means the deadline or the evidence hasn't arrived. Nothing here is editorial: every count is a ledger row you can open on the Proof page.
No single number decides. Layers can disagree — that's the point. New to this? →
The platform's own early signals for this company — hard-to-fake, and where one preceded a real raise, the measured lead.
Classically, Wiz does that. Wiz will do it for its customers. Wiz's customer base starts at a multi-thousand person company. And their price point starts at a multi-thousand person company. We're more thinking about the platform as where are we already embedded with customers? Where are they unlikely to go pay $150,000 for Wiz, but very well could pay $40,000 or $50,000 for something suited to them? Thinking through where are we already strong and where are the competitors focused elsewhere, but
And we've got 25% of all of our customers in that sort of flow right now. We can get that to 75%. One, I think we'll have much better retention, a much better customer experience. And then if we need to go sort out pricing later, we should go sort out pricing later. This is a usage phase and like a deployment phase of this technology and just go nail that.
We're eating the token cost right now. We're taking a lower margin and really concentrating on usage. That experience that I just talked through where the agent is going off and doing things, we just fundamentally believe that is a much better user experience.
You actually put yourselves in a competitive position against the models that the public no application really wants to do. Like we can talk about harnesses. You don't want to get there. What we've seen on token pricing is if you're trying to mark up at all, users are very smart and you will lose on that comparison.
We have talked to our customers a lot about token-based pricing. And I think what we've generally heard is like, people are real smart. So if you try to charge them based on tokens, they are very quick to say, oh, you've just marked up a Claude token Forex.
We do when we go benchmark where we are from an agent in our product perspective against quote unquote AI applications, we have yet to find someone who is further along.
And I would argue that at least in terms of GoogleWiz, it passes that test. Like it's none of those three things. So hopefully it will move through quickly.
it passes that test.
the GoogleWiz, it passes that test.
I think we have an unbelievable opportunity to unleash an incredible amount of economic growth and capital finding its best home and best place to grow businesses with a lot of pent-up M&A. And I will tell you this, when I look in the public market, I see great businesses that are growing 10%, 20%, 30% that are trading at six or seven times revenue. This deal just got done at over 30 times revenue. There's ample room for buyers and sellers to meet in the middle if the United States is truly open
I would, I would qualify one statement. You, you said they made a lot of money. Sounds like that won't happen until 2026. So let's not count the chickens just yet.
this is a business that was started in 2020. Okay. And they're selling it five years later for $32 billion, 32 billion. One of the largest outcomes in the history of Silicon Valley
I think they innovated really fast too though you get a halo early like you know you got to get the halo
In the case of Wiz part of the reason that it was able to grow so fast is because it was a oh bam hit you like a ton of rex pressing need and so everyone felt like they needed to buy this or something.
Wiz got to over 100 million in AR in 18 months from their first release.
with Wiz, we did lead, co-lead six consecutive rounds of investments, and that was, at the time, the largest investment in aggregate that Index had ever made.
I think it's amazing that Dali Rajik, who ran GoToMarket for Wiz, is now the CRO of OpenAI. And I think that was an absolute coup, because Dali's really the best GoToMarket leader on the planet.
I do think Wiz is unusual in so much as there's so much density of entrepreneurial talent that I do imagine that talent exploring new adventures.
Wiz is, to your point, somewhat similar, because Asaf, Ami, Yanon, Roy, the founders of Wiz, attract really ambitious entrepreneurial individuals, and they celebrate their growth and impact in the next leg of their career and journey.
it's analogous and it rhymes with whiz, how they started from the get go as a platform with a point of view around cloud, although that category had existed for a decade.
Ami, the co-founder and CTO of Wiz, talked to me about this from the beginning of the business, which is how do we manage both of those needs for security? And so I think it's really prevalent. And I think it's the beginning of how this AI security category is actually going to be reshaped.
