i think you know if we could do it differently i think we would have been a little bit more outspoken and really um got behind that message and pointed out to the stand
i can even look at what what's amazon making right now maybe 2 billion something like that it's a tiny percent right
when you look at the extremely open um but yet unmanaged environments of amazon
there were a couple of um strong infrastructures a service players obviously amazon being the biggest one
when i look at the marketplace today um you know not many people have the developer ecosystem the development tools and platform experience um or the sheer investment in in actual um assets that microsoft have and and they've done a really good job in in actually building a v1 product they've got some smart people working there as well guys like youth of collegian mark russovich so i think they've got some really smart folks with demonstrated uh experience in kind of building big innovative um p

if i could have changed anything i think it would have been that um we were a little bit more bullish about our position and i think you know we were fairly new uh in the marketplace so we we were a little bit um gun shy about going out making statements about where we thought past was going to be
there's some rigor and discipline um that that i learned as an engineer at microsoft that i think was the benefit of almost 30 years of solid engineering
there was this wonderful opportunity to innovate and try new things just because no one had really you know worked in that space
it's very hard for a very traditional conventional business like a bank to attract that kind of talent when that talent's already working for a google or microsoft or an amazon
i think you know if if i was to um you know be talking to to folks like google about what would a music service look like i think providing storage for people's music files where they need to have some kind of um smart client play those music files from the the web you know similar to a last fm pandora experience where you actually control the music playlist rather than kind of um being served up a um a produced list i think is a huge value-add
if we had other folks like oracle and um you know those kind of folks sap into the mix they they are very interested in getting a slice of the um very large potential markets for cloud and i think they tend to be um building the lilly you know to some degree and saying hey you know this thing that used to be called a mainframe or a kind of a cluster or some kind of enterprise dc equipment isn't our cloud um i i think is generally how they start to position that um kind of forecast
so yeah that's a tough question for me that's appealing you know in abstract so here's what i think i think there's a lot of companies out there today and and we saw it with ibm right um who are putting a stake in the ground and saying you know we're going for a lion's share of the cloud market and we're going to do it on the back of what we've done for the last kind of um five to ten years in client service i think what they're going to find though is that the complexity of building up uh both
if we use the standard kind of practice ... i think we'd find that um their projections are a lot lower than that
