i'd like to see more discussions about how to use s3 for all kinds of scenarios in the enterprise in businesses you know dr scenarios you know this kind of math primary storage scenario you know i think there's a lot out there that's untapped still in you know from services like amazon's

you can use the cloud as primary storage as long as you cache it at the edge for performance and as long as you allow people to override files ... you benefit from all the stuff that amazon gives you which is very low cost ... multiple geographic locations for storing your data and ... great availability

once you've used amazon s3 for a while and you realize how good it is and how inexpensive it is

i think compute you know compute is is um compute is very mature on the full application stack when you look at things like salesforce.com and facebook

when when the applications are around a single framework like say a facebook environment or a salesforce.com environment then you can define much better how the apps communicate with the api of that environment to exchange data

i think that you know itunes is a great example of just being able to discover uh artists through you know some kind of social collaboration and i think that uh you know they'll be able to do that in any of the app stores i think the experience today is frustrating but the experience is only going to get better
