Yeah, it started in China. They had moved it already to Singapore, then grew, then Facebook tried to buy it. But because it was technically started in China, China was able to effectively, quote-unquote, block it. But by that time, the transaction has gone through. So then they had to, like, try to find buyers for MetaShare somewhere else.

I would think that part of the reason that you see this really publicized is Anthropic talking about this a lot and researchers talking about this with the hope that this triggers conversations that changes, that makes sure that people are building in a safe way.
