for real serious work uh Google Docs is still not at par with what you can do with Office Word or Excel or PowerPoint or whatever tool you use so I would concur with that comment I think they still have room to grow and catch up so until then it's Microsoft
Google basically grew by acquiring two La based companies I actually forgot about this but goto.com which invented the paper search term advertising which they initially said no to and then it became the basis of Google's something like 90% of Google's revenue comes from this right and then um and then I'll um I guess applied analytics or something like that it was the name of the company they bought for AdSense
Google's been doing this for a long time
goog could do it but it's just not natural to them
