I think on the SEO side you just need to always keep up with Google and keep helping them make these changes right on so in our case we just had to help you know shape the way Google sees our sites that can do a better job of finding the highest quality content our side right
I'm not sure they really put as much work into it as it nasir I mean to build a large platform requires you know a lot of work attention and google has a lot of things going on no too many projects

with SEO I think a lot of people think about SEO is you know it's like the the website owner versus Google right but that's really not the right way to think about it right Google Google's jobs SEO is to just or with search quality is to help users find the highest quality content and your job with SEO is to really do the same thing right and Google just as the web changes they need to change their search how they do search quality to help users find the best quality content
through who this wheeler would need a product that's going to be viral and was brain grow through through 100 s trip we realized that we needed to be on a growing trend right um through mu bub we had we realized that you know what Paul Graham taught us which was that had be a product people actually wanted yeah so um so through these things we learn kind of basics of building companies then we were able to apply all of those lessons to scribd which led to scribd ultimately being pretty pretty su
it was a it was a it was a good idea i mean it could have built a great company but um I think we first saw that that I phones were going to come out soon and pretty soon you be able to just actually do all this there get the address of the sushi bar exactly yeah you wouldn't have to call someone yes so we didn't want to be on a trend that was dying and we wanted to be a growing trends that's why we did decide not to do that one

we were kind of the underdog in the class actually people are like oh that's kind of a derivative idea and it just seems kind of exactly so I remember everybody was like that I know to have like the underdog and like that's kind of a cheese on it definitely uh i mean it's it's definitely not fun to be under da compared to a little bit it burns you a little bit

if you're a first-time entrepreneur it really helps you just get going
the competition and peer pressure is actually kind of good
