the Hypermarket now their goal is to leave as little a profit for its product prod users as possible and in a perfect world what they'd like to do is sell Walmart bars and they would look and feel and taste like snicker bars they're Walmart bars because on Walmart bars they get uh you know much better margin

prior to Lloyd Brawn kind of came in when Yahoo decided to invest in the media business so the Yahoo you know the news. Yahoo sports. Yahoo finance Etc um prior to that those businesses that business unit was running at a 90 plus perc margin right there was it was literally they were taking they had Cheapo licensing deals for uh you know commodity content from the AP whatever um they were putting on these shitty pages
we're number one in all these categories despite ourselves
the problem with working at Yahoo is that anybody who any smart people I knew thought I was an idiot and any you know everybody else thought I was tech support
Twitter on the other hand um it's it's impossible to disaggregate Twitter's rise and their success in getting to where they are today from the adoption of Twitter as a platform and what all the various The Innovation that the developer Community created on top of the Twitter apis right and and that some of which Twitter has co-opted some of which and made part of their core product now some of which they've shut down um but you cannot deny that you know Twitter would not be where it is today it
it was hard I'd say you know going against a market leader
we don't see ourselves at least I don't see ourselves as uh competitively positioned to them we feel like we're going after different parts of the same market
