I think the only sad part was that New York Times went directly to Apple
what New York Times didn't like was that we were pre-loading it the app was coming pre-loaded with New York Times right which is a bit counterintuitive because we were basically driving traffic to them
one of the things that Apple puts in its guidelines is you know you click on the small icon on your home screen of your iPad and the the app should start instantly um and that's kind of like the the the philosophy we went ahead with
I think Apple's overall been very very um you know it's been very comfortable working with them and they've been very responsive
I don't think it helps that the CEO of Apple is sort of a bit of a swarmy a bit of a he's easy to hate the idea of Apple's easy to hate success is easy the hate
I think so um I think it'll take a little bit cuz uh the analyst that said that iPad sales were going to suck I didn't agree with that but one point they pointed out is a lot of the early iPad buyers were Geeks so they're people that going to have a computer they're going to have this but I think slowly um I don't think it's going to be Sharp Dress because I think most people do need some device for Content creation um but I think eventually enough people who really either only would use a compu
iPods however as you'd probably figure taken a significant hit in recent months sales are down 133% the first two months of the quarter uh you know and that that side of obvious because if you have your iPhone if you have your iPad that's basically what you do the iPad is just one feature that would go inside this much larger device it's only logical people instead of going and getting that new iPod Touch would just go and take take take the plunge and uh and get the iPad
Mac sales went up 37% year-over-year for the first two months of the June quarter indicating consumers still like we were saying before I guess the previous story uh they're continuing to treat the iPad as a secondary device nobody's really using this as their primary computer
