Angel Round — funding glossary

Angel Round

An angel round is investment from wealthy individuals (“angels”) putting in their own money, usually at an early stage. Angels often bring experience and introductions alongside the cash, and can move faster than funds.

Where in the journey

What the money is for
Early capital plus mentorship and network access.
Common investors
Individual angel investors, sometimes angel groups.
Watch out for
Many small investors can crowd a cap table; less follow-on capacity than funds.
