We're looking for one of our first Account Executives to drive full-cycle sales across enterprise and growth accounts. You'll be responsible for winning new customers while helping build the sales playbook from the ground up. Product Direction. Serve as a critical voice of the customer, translating market feedback into insights that influence product development, positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
5+ years of full-cycle B2B SaaS sales experience, including at least 2 years selling technical products to technical buyers. Experience with infrastructure, APIs, or data products is strongly preferred.
A proven history of consistently meeting or exceeding quota, including at least one role where you were among the top performers.
AI fluency. You use AI tools regularly in your work, understand the landscape, and can speak credibly with buyers who are building AI-powered products.
Technical confidence. You do not need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable discussing deep integrations, APIs, OAuth, webhooks, and architectural tradeoffs with senior technical stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, including strong writing ability and the range to move seamlessly from user-facing demos to procurement conversations.
A builder's mentality. You are energized by ambiguity and excited to help create the sales playbook from the ground up.
Ideally, candidates have experience selling into one of Ampersand's two core verticals:
GTM stack — Salesforce, CRM platforms, revenue tooling buyers
Fintech stack — payments infrastructure, Square-ecosystem, ERP/fintech buyers
Were an early AE (first 1–3) at a Seed or Series A company that scaled
Have a technical background — CS degree, former SE, or have shipped your own software project
Have led multiple major enterprise deal cycles including security review, MSA negotiation, and multi-stakeholder champion building
Have built or shipped an AI workflow or agent, even a personal one

We're hiring a Founding Sales Engineer to be the technical core of a GTM team that sells a complex, infrastructure-level product to buyers who know exactly what they're evaluating.
The buyers are engineers, CTOs, and product leaders. Demos are technical. Evaluations go deep. You'll partner closely with Account Executives to move deals forward, owning the technical side of the sales process from discovery through proof-of-concept and close. This is a role for someone who's credible with engineering audiences and genuinely enjoys the intersection of sales and engineering.

We're hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly inside customer environments, implementing and extending Ampersand in a way that makes each deployment succeed and teaches us something we can build on.
This role is part engineer, part technical advisor, part trusted partner. You'll work closely with strategic customers from kickoff through delivery, write production code when the work calls for it, and bring what you learn back to the core product and engineering team. Customer Deployments — Lead end-to-end technical implementations with strategic customers, from discovery through successful adoption.
Technical Recommendations — Understand each customer's stack, integration goals, data model, and constraints — then advise on approaches that are maintainable, scalable, and easy for their team to operate long-term.
Production Code — Write production-quality code inside customer codebases when the work calls for it. You're comfortable in unfamiliar environments and hold a high bar for what you ship.

We're hiring a Product Engineer to shape the user experience of a platform used by some of the most technically sophisticated teams in software and AI.
This is a foundational role. You'll work closely with the founders, engineers, and customers to design experiences for complex, developer-facing workflows — and help establish the design standards the product will be built on from here. Full Stack Feature Development — Own the full loop: technical architecture, implementation, documentation, and customer communication. No throwing work over the fence. You will primarily work in the backend (Golang), but you are also comfortable implementing frontend features (React).

We're looking for an inaugural Engineering Manager to join a fast-growing AI infrastructure company at a pivotal moment. You'll work directly with the founders and a small, high-retention engineering team, including people who came up through Google, Meta, Cruise, and AWS and have chosen to stay. The culture here is intentional: high craft, high trust, and high ownership. Your job is to protect that while scaling it.
This is a hands-on role. You'll be close to the technical work, close to the people doing it, and close to the decisions that shape how the team grows. You will report directly to the co-founder and CTO, and this position has the opportunity to grow into a Director or VP of Engineering role down the road.
Engineering Leadership — Mentor and grow a high-performing team across full-stack, customer, and forward-deployed engineering. Run regular 1:1s, give clear feedback, and build the conditions where engineers do their best work and stay.
Team Scaling — Own onboarding for new engineers so they ramp quickly and become productive. Partner with founders on hiring and career development as the org grows beyond its founding core.
Technical Execution — Spend at least 20% of your time doing IC work — staying close to the codebase and tooling. Drive project management for customer deliverables, especially work that spans multiple engineers or product areas.
Engineering Acceleration — Create the environment and infrastructure for engineers to ship fast: code maintainability, internal documentation, development workflows, QA tools and automation. Lead by example on AI-accelerated development — advocate for using AI to improve velocity while maintaining reliability and quality.
Security & Compliance — Own security and compliance alongside our Founding Operations Lead, including SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR.
Distributed Collaboration — Manage project-based contract engineers and globally distributed connector contributors.
Significant software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading engineering teams in a startup or high-growth environment (even if you didn’t hold a formal Manager title)
You've led teams through complex technical initiatives and are excited to do it again
Strong technical judgment — you can go deep on architecture and system design when it matters
You build engineering culture and systems: ownership, craft, and accountability are things you've actually installed somewhere before
Excellent written communication; the team is async-first and decisions travel in writing
You have directly interfaced with customers before, and enjoy having close lines of communication with the people you build for
